The School of Physics postgraduate programme is four years degree programme. During this time, students will be required to participate in laboratory teaching, postgraduate taught modules and weekly seminars. Annual attendance at national/international conferences or summer schools which are specific to their research area, is also required, subject to approval by the student’s postgraduate supervisor.
Once you have received confirmation of your acceptance from the School of Physics, you will be invited to attend our postgraduate student orientation. This session will provide you with all of the information that you need to start your PhD in the School of Physics, as well as inform you of the academic requirements of your postgraduate degree.
