Congratulations to Bernard Dunne on his WBA Super-Bantamweight World Championship victory on March 22nd last, who defeated Ricardo Cordoba from Panama. Bernard was a student in Trinity College in 1999/2000 where he took a course in ‘Maximising Performance and Monitoring for Training in Sport’ in the Anatomy Department. He received a Trinity Sports Scholarship that year and boxed for the DU Boxing Club. He is an avid supporter of the Boxing Club and a regular attendee at its events.The Dublin University Central Athletic Club (DUCAC) will be honouring Bernard at the Sporting Commons event, which will be held in May.
