Pop up vaccination centre to open on campus

Posted on: 23 September 2021

A HSE pop up vaccination centre will be open on campus on Monday 27 September and Wednesday 29 September from 8.30am – 8pm in the Marquee at New Square. This is a walk-in clinic for all students and staff and no appointment is necessary.

The aim is to maximise vaccine uptake in those who have not yet availed of vaccination, including international students, and to build on the gains already achieved with the vaccine programme. The clinic will provide first or second doses.

“This is an excellent opportunity for our students and staff to get vaccinated to make our campus as safe as possible as we begin the new academic year. I strongly encourage as many people as possible to participate in the vaccination programme. It will be especially beneficial to our international students who may not have a recognised vaccination in Ireland,” explained Dr David McGrath, Director of College Health Service.

The HSE vaccination centre on campus is one of 11 such pop up centres in Colleges announced by the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Simon Harris TD and Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly TD.

When coming to the pop up vaccination centre, please bring your: Personal Public Service (PPS) number – if you have one; Eircode; mobile phone number; email address; and photo ID that has your date of birth – this can be a passport, driving licence, Garda age card, or student card.
