The Annual Volunteer Fair on campus will take place outside the Edmund Burke Theatre from 6-8pm today, Thursday 25th of November. The event, a collaboration between TCD’s Civic Engagement Office, Careers Advisory Service and the Trinity Volunteer Opportunities Forum (TVOF), aims to increase the College’s commitment to civic engagement and volunteering amongst members of the Trinity Community.
At the Fair, existing volunteers and representatives from community organisations will be on hand to tell you about how you can get involved with voluntary work. Opportunities range from local events, conservation work, volunteering from home, residential volunteering programmes both short and long-term, as well as summer volunteering opportunities at home and abroad. Participating organisations include Age Action Ireland, Chrysalis Drug Programme, Crosscare, Habitat for Humanity, Suas and SVP Sunshine Funds to name but a few.
All are welcome to attend where student volunteers and representatives from the various community organisations will be on-hand to offer advice and information on the various volunteering opportunities available.
