Webinar Tuesday 16 June 2021 3 pm
The school shutdown has put intense pressure on schools to support continuity of learning for their students. This puts extra demands on schools to communicate clearly and effectively with parents.
We have brought together experts in 4 fields to provide supports for schools and teachers in planning their communications to parents. These are captured in 4 short videos and a booklet outlining the key principles:
In collaboration with Mother Tongues we have also produced a booklet of common school messages in multiple languages for schools to use in communicating with multilingual families.
Watch the webinar series presenting and discussing these resources on YouTube. The webinar has an introduction with Dr Ann Devitt and discussion with panellist Anne-Marie McGovern - Tusla Education Support Services and Jane O’Connell (Principal of St. Philip the Apostle Junior National School, Clonsilla, Dublin 15).
This work is part of the Family Digital Literacy project, a collaboration with NALA and funded by theIrish Research Council.
