The building was built originally circa late 1600s.The building comprises 4 storeys above ground and forms part of the Examinations Hall structure that was built 1684, Served by one central staircase and a secondary stairway only and no lift facilities.

During the buildings' life it has had many conversions carried out, the impact being offices and facilities converted over the existing 'College House 1' structural footprint. There are a number of interconnecting corridors and stairways that link these converted offices and they also extend to a 4th storey offices area.
There is a Helpdesk at ground floor level for the Enquiries office, the upper levels are administration offices covering 4 other departments, with helpdesks to 2 departments.
