Building description

The buildings were built in the 1800s.The buildings have the ground floor levels, and 3 upper levels. Building 32 has the Irish National Centre for Bioformatics situated on the ground and first floor levels; the first and second floors have open plan offices located on them.

The department of Genetics library is located on the third floor level. Buildings 28 and 29 are joined/ linked together; they both house the Social Attitude and Policy Research Group on the third floor levels. There are male and female toilet facilities on the first and second floor levels of building 32.

Buildings 30 to 32 are part of The Smurfit Institute of Genetics and are linked on all floor levels. Buildings 28 and 29 have limited access due to refurbishment works.

28 - 32 Westland Row buildings have an accessible entrance provided to them through Smurfit /Panoz Institutes buildings' concourse corridor lift. The lift does not go the 3rd floor in all buildings and there are no other lifts in the in the buildings.
