The Provost review is an annual publication produced in print and digital editions, which showcases the University highlights of the previous year. It covers milestones in areas such as education, research, innovation, global relations, public engagement, student experience, sports and visitors.
The Digital team worked closely with members of Public Affairs and Communications to create a mobile optimised website for the digital version. The Provost, Patrick Prendergast, sponsored the project.
The brief was to create a user-focused website, where you can quickly find sections you are interested in, without having to scan the entire publication. New professor interviews and research case studies are also to be highlighted on the homepage to shine a light on the Academic Community, and its variety of research and achievements.
We designed and built a mobile friendly template, which allows users to easily navigate the digital edition. By using links with titles for each chapter, with just one click the user can open a PDF containing this topic. Throughout the project we provided ongoing support and advice around content editing, image cropping and optimisation, and video placement to achieve the best visual aesthetic and experience for the user.
Inspiring Generations - the campaign for Trinity College Dublin is the largest philanthropic campaign ever undertaken in Ireland. It will help to fund flagship projects that will consolidate Trinity’s position as a leading global university and help inspire many more generations to come. Some of the aims of the campaign are to create more pathways for talented students to access a Trinity education; create Ireland’s first comprehensive cancer centre of global excellence; build the E3 Institute that will position Ireland as a European leader in research and innovation; and safeguard and conserve Trinity’s magnificent Old Library.
The Digital team collaborated with Trinity Development and Alumni's marketing team to build a new website for the Campaign. The brief for the website included specific page layouts, a donation form and donor wall.
The Campaign for Trinity College Dublin
We designed and built page layouts to match the wire frames provided, while still aligning with the Trinity theme to ensure consistency across the website. We also coded a donation page with transactional capabilities, where users can select a project they wish to support and pledge donations of different amounts. We also designed homepage graphics and incorporated the campaign logo to create a slick and contemporary style, and published video content to promote the Campaign and the events surrounding it, which successfully launched on 2 May 2019. The website went live on this date to coincide with the launch and we provided continuous technical support to make sure the launch went smoothly.
The Civic Engagement website provides resources and news for students and staff to promote community engagement, volunteering, engaged research and community based learning. For many years, civic engagement has been an integral part of Trinity's strategic plan. It's how we connect the College to the community through various activities.
We worked closely with the Civic Engagement Officer for the website's content and transferred it to the current Trinity theme. Registrar, Paula Murphy, sponsored the project.
We prepared layouts, sourced, resized and optimised new images, populated video and image sliders, added social media embeds and edited content.
