The Business 20 (B20) is the official G20 dialogue forum with the global business community. Established in 2010 to advance innovative, inclusive, and collaborative growth in business, B20 is now among the most prominent engagement groups in the G20.
With an average of 1,000 delegates from the G20 countries, including top executives from the leading multinational corporations, the B20 accounts for around 2,000 participants representing over 6.5 million businesses.
Dr Daniel Malan, Assistant Professor in Business Ethics at Trinity Business School and member of the World Economic Forum Global Future Council on Transparency and Anti-Corruption, joins the B20’s Indonesia delegation as Co-Chair of the Compliance and Integrity Task Force (TF). The B20 Compliance and Integrity TF seeks to come together in regulating ways to address the escalated threats of money laundering, terrorist financing and cybercrime.
Each B20 TF comprises of over 100 business representatives from the G20 countries including selected invited countries and international organisations. The B20 Indonesia officially conveys its final recommendation to the G20 Presidency at the occasion of the B20 Summit which takes place two-four weeks ahead of the G20 Summit.
Dr Daniel Malan commented: “It is a great honour to serve in this capacity. The B20 recommendations will have real impact to ensure that integrity and compliance issues inform and shape post-pandemic business conduct.”
