It has excellent state-of-the-art lighting and sound facilities and professional technical and administrative support. There is a foyer with a staffed box office and facilities to serve refreshments and wine. The theatre is disabled-accessible for audience members. Outside term time, the theatre is hired out on a fixed fee basis to touring theatre and dance companies. Hires are inclusive of front-of-house and box office staffing, the use of changing rooms with showers and toilets and the support of technical staff to assist with get-in.
The theatre is situated in the central landmark campus of Trinity, close to all Dublin city centre bus, rail, DART and Luas stops.
In addition to the main auditorium, the School of Creative Arts has a bright, attractive Dance Studio rehearsal space on the top floor of the Samuel Beckett Centre. It measures 11 metres x 11 metres and has a maple floor and mirror wall. This and two smaller rehearsal spaces (191 & 192 Pearse Street) can be hired by outside theatre and dance companies outside of academic term time.
